Monolit is a special product produced for dimensional stability. The product is pith-free, so free from pith cracks, and has horizontal growth rings but no splay knots. Monolit is mainly used for bed and table legs, staircase details, rails and windows and thus often needs to be dried down to a lower moisture content, 12 per cent, to suit indoor environments. The product is dried to meet the needs and wishes of the customer.

Furniture grade is a grade with a very high proportion of sound knots and an even structure. The product is sawn from a log that has already been graded for sound knots. As this is a product used for manufacturing edge-glued panels for the furniture industry and hobby carpenters, a low moisture content is needed. Furniture grade is dried down to a moisture content of nine per cent.

Green Split is sawn from the log to make the best possible use of the growth ring structure. The sawing process produces four corner pieces with a diagonal grain and can be manufactured with or without pith depending on the requirement regarding cracks. Green Split is used for finger-jointed window frames and casements, and since the end product may be exposed to wind and weather, a high proportion of heartwood is needed for a degree of natural protection. The right volume of heartwood in the log can be optimised from as early as the log sorting stage.

Centre yield and side yield have several different uses. A large proportion goes for joinery and is turned into furniture, while some is planed for various kinds of mouldings. All centre yield and side yield products are dried down to 18 per cent.
